Kathy Clare

About

Kathy Clare creates contemporary porcelain jewellery that bridges  fine art and adornment. Working from her studio in the Cotswolds, she conceives, draws and fires each piece individually, building surface depth and narrative through a considered multi-stage process.

Trained in Fine Art (BA,MA), Kathy approaches porcelain as a canvas. Lines are drawn by hand, refined through repeated kiln firings, and finished with precious metal lustres- gold, platinum and copper which interact subtly with light and movement.

Earlier in her career, she designed bespoke jewellery in London's Convent Garden, an experience that deepened her understanding of craftsmanship and wearability. Today, that foundation meets her fine art training in pieces that balance structure with spontaneity.

Her jewellery is not produced in volume, but created in small, variations in mark, tone and surface are embraced as part of work's authorship, ensuring no two are ever the same. intentional releases-intimate artworks designed to be worn, collected and lived with.
